Words of Affirmation, Encouragement and Motivation

It's Time!

Stop living in the comforts of others imprints and learn to be comfortable in the failures of being a leader. Leaders are where they are because they have failed. Failure is part of life. But when we make excuses, it is a way to avoid failures. If we let fear and defeating voices in, they tell us we can’t reach our goal, and we make excuses to avoid, not the inevitable failure, but the idea of failure itself.

When leaders fail they do not make excuses, they do not blame others. Leaders know they have more to gain by admitting their mistake and moving forward to correct it than they do from dwelling, blaming and wasting time. Excuses don’t move us forward in the process. If we take responsibility for the inaction or the mistake, we are able to correct it and proceed towards the goal. Leaders know that making excuses only delays the end goal and taking responsibility allows honest correction to take place in the process.

Are you ready to lead?

You Are...

You are special to God! Understanding that we were made in His image and that we are secure in Him defines our true identity. Identity is defined by going through a process and establishing an identity through past experiences, personal changes and even demands of societal changes and expectations. But if we find our worth in the insecurities and fears of our past; our securities in the instability and unpredictability of societal norms; and identity in the affirmations of our peers; then our focus needs to shift to what and who God says we are. "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17)." According to Ephesians chapter 1, we have been blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, accepted and loved. When we are in Christ, these aspects of our identity can never be altered. If you are steady and secure in your identity in Him, your actions, speech and life will reflect and express God's love.

Are You Equipped for the Battle?

May 05, 2018

In the book of Genesis chapter 1, Pharoah enslaved the children of Israel in an attempt to weaken and/or hinder their growth in number and possibility of overtaking the authority that was established in Egypt. What Pharoah didn't know and understand was that the oppression and mistreatment he forced on them was only making them stronger.

We may encounter difficult people or situations that may weigh a heavy burden in or lives spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally. But the enemy's tactic to use the strategy of those burdens can only make us stronger for our purpose in God. Embrace those challenges and know that God has equipped us with armor (faith and His Spirit) and ammunition (The Word of God) to defeat the enemy. Don't be stagnant and fooled by the enemy's devices, but MOVE in the purpose God has destined in your life.

What Is Your Mindset?

"You cannot have movement if you have a mentality of maintenance." ~ Dr. Matthew Stevenson

We serve a progressive God. He has not called us to be stagnant in our thoughts or actions. Trust in the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, and He shall direct your path. It's time to get out of your comfort zone (mentally and physically) and move in the direction God has called you to go! We serve an amazing, miraculous, and LIVING God!!

Concentrate on those desires that will keep you on the right path. Make sure your affections push you in the right direction. Put boundaries on your desires: don't go after everything you see. Look straight ahead, keep your eyes fixed on your goal, and don't get sidetracked on detours that lead to temptation.

"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."
Proverbs 4:23 NLT
